I didn't say anything 'cause I couldn't make out what they were saying, but I definitely recognised that software call tone you always get when you answer.
Didn't leave a message on the answer machine, just another dodgy scam call.
Got a call from an unknown number on my phone, which is listed on the TPS. Figured it was either a pushy sales call or some sort of scam.

Either stays silent or talks in some foreign language, so I just sent it straight to my spam folder.
At first, no words came through, so I asked, "Can you tell me who this is?" The person on the other end just made some strange noises before suddenly ending the call.
Didn’t pick up a call from a number I didn’t know and they never left any voicemail. Most likely one of those scam calls.
Got a message from this number saying: -
There was a transaction of £271.44 on 21 July 2026 at 3:15pm at Travis Perkins. If you didn’t make this purchase, call 02080587121
I haven’t bought anything from Travis Perkins in ages. Seems dodgy to me, and that 020 number looks pretty sketchy too.

Got a call from someone claiming to be "Virgin Media Tech Support", sounded like an Indian bloke. Said there was a problem with my internet. I figured if they were legit, they'd know my account details, so I asked them what my IP address was to check. They just ended the call straight away. Total scam, be careful! Make sure you know your own IP address before answering stuff like this.

Got a call claiming to be from TSB bank, they also left a voicemail saying who they were.

I was expecting some sort of scam, so I stayed quiet and waited for them to say something first. But then they just hung up on me.
Got a robocall claiming to be from Barclays Security about a dodgy purchase at Waitrose. Pretty sure it was a scam.

I got a spam alert on my phone for this number. When I called it back, an automated voice said it was from "Best Consumer Quotes," so yeah, it’s definitely some sort of spam.
Got a call from this number but couldn't answer. When I looked it up, Google marked it as spam. I'd say steer clear of it.

Got a robotic call from “Indeed” about some job offer, they kept asking to add me on WhatsApp. I never agreed to that.

Beware of people offering loft 'inspections' with the promise of better insulation – it's a total scam after they get inside your loft!
I found this number connected to some scams involving a hotel in Birmingham, so watch out.

The call came through but I didn't pick up, no voicemail was left either. My phone flagged it as a scam, so I've gone ahead and blocked the number.
I didn’t pick up cause the number was unknown. They didn’t leave any voicemail either, so I’m thinking it might be one of those scam calls. I wasn’t expecting anyone I don’t know to ring me anyway.
Got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon security, asking if I had ordered a dodgy looking phone. When I questioned if he was a scammer, he ended up swearing at me and just hung up.

Someone’s been calling kids, and we really gotta figure out who’s behind it. It’s important to check if they even realise they’re messing with minors.
I've got like 6 messages from this number and none of them say who they actually are. They just leave a link to call back but no ID or anything. The number shows up as unknown too, which is super annoying.
I reckon this number belongs to Bernie Ecclestone, the bloke who used to run F1.

They rang me up, totally sure I was their sibling or something. I must've confused them a fair bit. Then, out of the blue, they phoned again and started quizzing me about my age. Honestly, just left me puzzled.
I keep getting annoying calls and texts from them saying they know what I did. Honestly, I have no clue what they’re on about, but whatever.
This number keeps ringing me up and sending threatening messages. They begin with stuff like, “Hello James, we’re aware of what you did,” but I’m not even called James. Best to ignore it and not get involved.
